drug addiction (1) and alcohol (2) is one of the forms of physical, psychological and moral states which are violent and dehumanizing system. This is incompatible with militancy for social change.
Drugs and alcohol are "weapons of war" that uses the dehumanizing system to stay in power. Addiction to drugs and alcohol is an integral part of the violence generated by this system.
On the one hand, the system feeds consumer expectations can only be met by a few, and then offers to drugs or alcohol as an escape to relieve the suffering generated by the frustration of unfulfilled expectations. Such work can be very demanding and require the best conditions to carry out psychophysical and vital bearing the consequences of their results. Psychological conditions are not separated from the physical, but which influence one another. Drugs and alcohol not only strongly modify the physical basis, but often deteriorate more or less irreversible.
Moreover, the action of such substances is beyond the control of the addict, and you can not control the change in brain chemistry that cause, nor control the operations that trigger mental and emotional.
